Rachael and Jason said, “I do” at Ticonderoga Golf Course, a breathtaking wedding venue in Upstate New York. With the bride’s humorous spirit and the groom’s laid-back, mellow soul, capturing this couple’s day felt effortless. All the tiny moments made this day so special… and the food. The food deserves a gallery of its own.

Upstate New York Rehearsal Dinner
Rachael and Jason kicked off their wedding weekend with an intimate rehearsal dinner at Bistro Le Roux. Cocktails and passed appetizers brought friends and family together for a laid-back yet refined evening.
Guests toasted the upcoming nuptials and laughed over shared stories before opening gifts from the bride and groom—just one of the many ways Rachael and Jason showed their thankfulness for the loved ones surrounding them. The evening was a meaningful part of the couple’s wedding story.
Wondering whether to include your wedding photographer at your rehearsal dinner? YES!
The night before your wedding day is one of the most exciting times. You have all the built-up anticipation for your big day, and capturing those emotions with your closest loved ones creates incredible photos to look back on. It’s also a great way to get images with more of your people. As a wedding photographer, I also want the experience to be unforgettable for them. The more opportunities I have to interact with and get to know them, the more memories I can capture of your wedding story.
On the wedding day, the bridal party was a blast to capture. The space was filled with excitement as they all enjoyed each other’s company, which allowed me to capture their most authentic selves. Rachael was the life of the party and had everyone laughing all morning long.
These newlyweds kept their wedding attire elegant, with Rachael wearing a sleek and modern gown from Lily Saratoga paired with a chapel-length veil and dainty pearls. Jason sported navy tuxedos with the groomsmen and a white silk necktie. The bridesmaids wore satin cinnamon-colored dresses with different necklines.
Rachael chose to do a first look before the ceremony. First, with her father, before meeting her future groom dockside. That special moment when a father sees his daughter before walking her down the aisle is always emotional. Still, the moment between Rachael and her dad was a tear-jerker.
When Jason turned around to face Rachael walking down the Lake George dock, you could see genuine excitement as he looked at her with true devotion. There were so many moments when I captured Jason in total awe–exactly what every bride deserves.
The couple’s approach for the outdoor ceremony was a modern take on elegance while keeping the venue’s natural beauty. Ticonderoga Golf Course is located in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains, nestled between Lake George and Lake Champlain. Golden-toned florals were carefully placed to complement the wedding attire and the breathtaking mountain backdrop.
A violin played as Rachael’s father walked her down the aisle. It was another emotional moment as he gave her away to Jason at the altar. The ceremony was traditional and timeless—a perfect way to start their forever.
After vows, guests made their way from the outdoor ceremony space into Seymour’s Restaurant in the Ticonderoga Golf Course clubhouse. They enjoyed stationed hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and more violin music while the new couple greeted their guests.
The afternoon sun over the Adirondacks gave us some stunning lighting to grab a few more bride and groom photos before the outdoor tent reception. Sophisticated yet minimal decor adorned the space, and tables lit by string lights welcomed guests. Rachael’s warm florals and gold accents couldn’t have been a more perfect choice as the evening glow lit up the tent.
Before sunset, the newlyweds embraced for their first dance. Then guests gathered at their tables for a plated dinner catered by Seymour’s. Entertained by toasts, cake cutting, and lots of dancing, family, and friends enjoyed the atmosphere the couple had created.
Everything about the day was upscale and refined, but that didn’t stop the newlyweds from letting loose and celebrating their love.
Rachael and Jason’s Upstate New York wedding was filled with so much love and laughter. The couple made sure all of their guests felt appreciated and had a great time. The day was a whirlwind of joy and excitement for all those involved.
