I captured Ali & David’s wedding at 408 Saratoga Event and Occasion. As a local wedding photographer, I’m impartial to this town’s charm. But after you see all of the dreamy details from this day, you’ll too see why Saratoga Springs is the ultimate location for romantic weddings.

Ali and David had the most Saratga-esque wedding ever. The couple met for a first look at the historic Saratoga Arms Hotel. Then we jumped on a trolley to head to the venue, while giving the wedding party a gorgeous view of downtown. The newlyweds said “I do” overlooking the city at 408 Saratoga. Then they danced the night away at the venue and rooftop bar. It was the perfect day centered on having fun with those they love.
An Intimate Morning for Wedding Day Preparations
Ali welcomed me into her home to photograph the morning preparations. Choosing to prep at home meant everyone was comfortable—including the sweet fur babies who joined in. The girls sipped champagne, told stories, and enjoyed the downtime before the festivities began.
Meanwhile, the groom got ready at the Saratoga Arms (where Ali would soon join him for the first look).
First Look at Saratoga Arms Hotel
This Saratoga Arms Hotel dates back to the late 19th century. I could have easily spent hours photographing Ali and David here. The guest room wallpaper, the wrap-around porch, the elegant parlors… everything about this place is stunning.
David was waiting for Ali on the front porch for the first look. Ali looked breathtaking in her lace and chiffon bridal gown, while David was so sharp in navy and red. They were so excited for their day! We had time to grab some photos of them in the hotel parlor before joining the wedding party.
This is one reason I always recommend a first look—there is SO much more time and flexibility for photos when you see each other before the ceremony.
Next, we walked down the street to the park to meet up with their crew. This group was so fun and made it easy to take group photos. From here, everyone jumped on a trolley to ride to the wedding venue. (10/10 recommend a trolley ride on your wedding day… with some champagne, of course!)
Wedding Ceremony at 408 Saratoga
Even though I’m a Saratoga Springs native, getting to experience all of the wedding venues here never gets old. 408 Saratoga is a modern event venue overlooking the charm of Broadway. Located on the second floor of Cantina, it would be easy to confuse the 408 with the town’s signature Mexican fare just below it. But this private event venue provides an intimate yet elevated experience with floor to ceiling windows, cozy seating, and a rooftop bar.
Ali was radiant as she walked down the aisle to meet her groom. They exchanged heartfelt, personal vows where there were lots of happy tears. The family watched from velvet couches seated front row to the altar. (Talk about getting the VIP seating!).
Downtown Saratoga Springs Wedding Reception
The wedding altar at 408 Saratoga opened right up into an intimate reception area. Friends and family spoke the kindest words of love and congratulatory toasts over them.
We went to the rooftop during golden hour for some gorgeous bride and groom portraits. Ali and David were both smiling ear to ear with excitement, which made capturing their love so easy.
Then the couple joined their guests on the dance floor with fun music and good drinks. (My kind of party!)
Ali and David encouraged me to take photos of them having fun and enjoying the celebration (my favorite kind of couple). Their upscale day was genuine and meaningful as they said “I do” surrounded by their people. These two were vibrantly in love, a joy to hang out with, and all around so sweet and caring—it was a wedding to remember!
